BrightPages Terms of Service (interim)
About these documents
These are interim terms, in effect from October 27, 2026, while our legal review is under way. We will replace them before our services become generally available, and post the new versions here with their effective date.
They cover every service of R & T BRIGHTLIGHT TECHNOLOGIES LLC ("we", "us"): the BrightPages™ Platform, KashPage and BrightPages Enterprise, with their websites (the "Services"). Our services are offered in the United States only. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information.
Terms of Service
1. Agreeing to these terms
By using the Services you agree to these terms. If you use them for a business, you confirm you may bind that business, and "you" means it too. If you have a signed agreement with us, such as a BrightPages Enterprise order form, that agreement wins where it differs from these terms.
2. Accounts
- You must be at least 18 and able to form a binding contract.
- Some Services are open by invitation only while we prepare for launch.
- Give accurate information, keep your sign-in secure, and tell us at once if you think someone else has used your account.
- You are responsible for what happens under your account.
3. Acceptable use
You may not use the Services to:
- break any law, or help anyone else break one;
- infringe anyone's intellectual property, privacy or other rights;
- sell or promote goods or services that are illegal where they are offered;
- send spam, or harass, threaten or defraud anyone;
- upload malware, probe or break our security, or overload our systems;
- copy, resell or scrape the Services, except as we allow in writing.
We do not tolerate child sexual abuse material. We remove it and report it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children, as the law requires.
4. Your content
You keep ownership of what you put into the Services: text, images, product data and the like. You give us permission to host, copy, process and display it only as needed to run the Services for you. You are responsible for having the rights to your content. We may remove content that breaks these terms.
5. Stores and their customers
If you run a store on the Services, the store is yours. You are responsible for your products, your prices, your terms with your customers, and the laws that apply to your business. We are not a party to sales between you and your customers.
6. Fees and payments
- Fees are as shown when you subscribe, or as set out in your agreement with us.
- Stripe processes payments for us. We never see or store your full card number.
- Subscriptions renew for the same period until you cancel. Your account shows how to cancel, and cancelling stops the next renewal.
- Fees do not include taxes, which you pay where they apply.
- Fees already paid are not refundable, except where the law or your agreement says otherwise.
7. AI features
Some features use artificial intelligence to draft text and suggest changes. AI output can be wrong, so review it before you rely on it or publish it. Don't put anyone's personal information into an AI feature unless you have the right to. AI output is not legal, financial or professional advice.
8. Other companies' services
The Services work with other companies' services, such as Stripe for payments and Clerk or Google for signing in. Their own terms apply to your use of them, and we are not responsible for them.
9. Our property
The Services, their software and their designs belong to us or our licensors. BrightPages™ is our trademark; our application to register it is pending. You may not use our names or logos without our written permission. If you send us ideas or feedback, we may use them without any obligation to you.
10. Changes and availability
We are still building the Services, so features may change, and some may be offered as previews. We may change, pause or stop any part of them. Unless your agreement with us promises a level of availability, we do not guarantee that the Services will always be available or free of errors.
11. Suspension and closing an account
We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, puts others at risk, or goes unpaid. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you first. You may stop using the Services at any time. Before you close an account, export anything you want to keep wherever the Services let you.
12. Disclaimer
The Services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent the law allows, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.
13. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about the Services is limited to the greater of the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and US$100.
14. Indemnity
If you use the Services for a business, you will defend and indemnify us against claims that arise from your content, your store, your products or your breach of these terms.
15. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute is decided in the state or federal courts in Travis County, Texas, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim there.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, and we will post the new version here with its effective date. If a change is material, we will tell account holders by email or in the Services before it takes effect. Using the Services after that date means you accept the new terms.
