BrightPages Privacy Policy (interim)
About this policy
This is an interim privacy policy, in effect from October 27, 2026, while our legal review is under way. We will replace it before our services become generally available, and post the new version here with its effective date.
It covers every service of R & T BRIGHTLIGHT TECHNOLOGIES LLC ("we", "us"): the BrightPages™ Platform, KashPage and BrightPages Enterprise, with their websites (the "Services"). Our services are offered in the United States only. Our Terms of Service set out the rules for using them.
We collect what we need to run the Services. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising.
What we collect
- Account details: your name, email address and sign-in details. You may sign in with an email and password or, where offered, with Google.
- Business and store details: your business name, store content, products, settings and the work you do in the Services.
- Payment details: Stripe handles your card. We receive only limited details from it, such as the card type, its last four digits and your billing address.
- Technical details: your IP address, browser, device and the pages and errors our systems record, for running and securing the Services.
- Messages: what you send us when you contact support.
- What you give AI features: the text you enter and what the feature returns.
How we use it
- To provide, run and support the Services, and to bill for them.
- To keep the Services and their users secure, and to prevent fraud and abuse.
- To send you messages about your account, such as receipts, security alerts and changes to this policy.
- To fix and improve the Services.
- To meet our legal obligations.
If we ever send marketing email, each message will let you unsubscribe.
Who we share it with
We share personal information only with the companies that help us run the Services, only for that purpose, and under contracts that protect it:
| Provider | What it does for us |
|---|---|
| Amazon Web Services | Hosting, storage, email and AI features (Amazon Bedrock) |
| Clerk | Sign-in and accounts |
| Stripe | Payments and billing |
| Sign-in, only if you choose to sign in with Google |
We may also share information when the law requires it, to protect people's safety or our rights, or as part of a merger or sale of our business, where it would stay under this policy. We share it with others only at your direction.
AI features
Our AI features run on Amazon Bedrock. We send it only what a feature needs to answer you. Amazon Bedrock does not use that content to train AI models.
Cookies
We use the cookies needed for signing in, keeping your session and protecting the Services. We do not use advertising cookies.
How long we keep it
We keep your information while your account is open, and afterwards only as long as we need it for the purposes above, such as tax and accounting records or resolving disputes. Then we delete it. Copies in backups expire on their own schedule.
Security
We protect information with encryption in transit, access controls and monitoring. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot promise that information will never be exposed. If a breach affects you, we will tell you as the law requires.
Your choices and rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, or to give you a copy. Some US state laws, such as California's, give you these rights, and we offer them to everyone we serve.
To ask, email support@brightpagesplatform.com. We will confirm it's you before we act, and we will not treat you differently for asking. You may also have someone you authorize ask for you.
Store customers
If you shop at a store that runs on our Services, the store decides what it collects about you and how it uses it. Its own privacy policy applies, so contact the store with requests. We process that information for the store, and we help stores answer requests.
Children
The Services are not meant for children, and you must be 18 to have an account. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have, we delete it.
Where information is kept
Our services are offered in the United States, and we store and process information in the United States.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy, and we will post the new version here with its effective date. If a change is material, we will tell account holders by email or in the Services before it takes effect.
